Well, another week has flown by with these little ones and they are growing quickly. They are so active and while Mama is still nursing, she is starting to wean them on her own. Pups are eating mush and loving every bit of it. We introduced a potty area with horse bedding pellets in hopes of making it smell more like the outdoors, so there will be an easy transition when we start going outside to potty. We were unable to get 4-week photos done with the rush of visiting family and Christmas. We will get some new photos when they turn 5 weeks old.
My daughter asked Santa this year for "4-week-old puppy toys" and Santa delivered on Christmas morning. So Christmas day we introduced puppy toys and a bed. They had a ball playing with all the new things. No one was reserved or shy about all the new objects.
Later this week we will trim their faces and bums, add a larger play area, and get them out of the whelping box. So check back in to see how they did later this week.
