It's been a busy 10 weeks!

Updated: Feb 4

I think our last update was around 8 weeks old. I am trying to stay on top of all the updates, but to be honest, I haven't had the chance to sit down and write a "pup"date in a while.

The last 2 weeks have flown by and these little ones are getting HUGE, we are weighing them tomorrow. I was just going back through photos to see what I have and haven't shared and holy smokes, these pups have changed/grown so much in 2 weeks.

This Winter litter is extremely active and has the zoomies often. We are providing tons of outdoor play and have allowed them access to the entire backyard, almost an acre of land, and they are loving it. It's been pretty wet and rainy here and let me tell you, they LOVE playing in the mud puddles.🤦‍♀️

We are offering lots of brain games. We made a snuffle braid and popped some treats in between the braided sections and they will spend a good 10-15 minutes enjoying that.

The cardboard tubes from a paper towel roll gets filled with goodies, and those are also a huge hit right now.

Potty Training: Puppies had their potty tray removed a few weeks ago to start working on potty training outside. It is a work in progress but I know they will catch on quickly. They are all sleeping through the night in their own kennel with zero accidents. Whoohooo!! Kennel training is going very well, none of them have any trouble going/staying in the kennel, a few will whine here and there, but getting better each day!

Training: We are working on taking one pup at a time away from the pack to work on "come and sit". Everyone is very treat-motivated and has zero issues during a session. They are all getting the hang of it quite quickly.

My daughter will also spend time putting them on a leash and just letting them get used to walking around with one on.

Now, when we feed them, they must "sit" before we set their food bowls down. This week we will be adding in "wait" in which they must wait to be released. 😉 We have them all share out of 3 food bowls and personally, I feel that letting them all share helps avoid any food aggression later on down the road.

There was a rare sunny evening this past week and I took advantage to get a few shots of the puppies playing outside.
